FAIRSINGIÚ NA GAEILGE I nÁITEANNA NUA Ag tosú le: * Lúnasa go Meán Fómhair 2005. Spreagamar ár gcara Francis Leik (Léiritheoir don Long Island Film Festival) leis a smaoineamh scannáin Ghaeilge a chur ina fhleadh, agus thugamar cabhair dó dul i idteagmháil le Bord Scannán na hÉireann chun scannáin oiriúnacha a fháil. Ansin chuireamar fógraíocht amach go breis agus 225 stáisiún raidió agus nuachtán áitiúil. D'éirigh sé go hiontach leis an bhfleadh agus, go bhfios dúinn, ba é seo an chéad uair i Meiriceá a raibh scannáin as Gaeilge i bhfleadh scannán ginearál i n-ionad fleadh eitnigh. Sheinn baill ár gCumainn ceol ag an bhfleadh freisin. Do bhreis eolais, féach ar Fleadh Scannán Oileán Fada

EXPANSION OF IRISH IN NEW PLACES Starting with: * August to September 2005. We encouraged Francis Leik (Producer of the Long Island Film Festival) with his idea of putting Irish language films into his festival, and we helped him contact the Irish Film Board to obtain suitable films. Then we sent out publicity to more than 225 local newspapers and radio stations. The festival was a great success and, as far as we know, this was the first time in America that Irish language films went into a general film festival instead of an ethnic festival. Members of our Society played music at the festival as well. For more information, see Long Island Film Festival
